Perovskia atriplicifolia ‘Blue Spire’ (Russian Sage) is a deciduous, woody perennial subshrub with elegant silver-grey foliage and tall, airy spires of violet-blue flowers in late summer. It brings movement, texture, and long-lasting colour to sunny borders.
Lightly aromatic foliage and flowers add subtle fragrance, while its drought tolerance and low maintenance nature make it ideal for gravel gardens and modern planting schemes. It typically reaches a mature height of around 0.8–1.2 metres and a similar spread when in flower.
