Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine) is a hardy evergreen conifer with distinctive orange-brown bark and long blue-green needles. It forms a strong, upright structure and provides year-round shelter, screening, and landscape presence.
Extremely resilient and low maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well-drained, even poor or sandy soils. It typically reaches a mature height of around 20–35 metres, making it suitable for large gardens, woodland planting, and open landscapes.
