Pinus mugo (Mountain Pine) is a hardy evergreen conifer with a dense, bushy habit and dark green needles. It is naturally compact and often grows in a mound-like or spreading form, making it ideal for rock gardens, slopes, and low-maintenance landscape planting.
Extremely resilient and adaptable, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, including poor or sandy conditions. It typically reaches a mature height of around 1–3 metres, depending on the variety, with a wider spread in mature plants.
