Viburnum lantana (Wayfaring Tree) is a hardy deciduous shrub with large, slightly fuzzy green leaves and clusters of creamy-white flowers in late spring, followed by red berries that turn black as they mature. It provides strong seasonal interest and supports wildlife.
Low maintenance and very tough, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates poor soils and dry conditions. It typically reaches a mature height of around 3–5 metres, forming a dense, upright shrub suitable for hedging or naturalistic planting.
