Tilia × europaea (Common Lime) is a large, fast-growing deciduous tree known for its broad, dense canopy and heart-shaped green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. In early summer, it produces clusters of small, fragrant pale-yellow flowers that are attractive to pollinators.
Very hardy and tolerant of urban conditions, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and a wide range of soils. It typically reaches a mature height of around 20–40 metres, making it ideal for avenues, parks, and large landscape planting.
