A weeping laceleaf maple with finely cut, garnet-red foliage that keeps its rich colour through the season better than most red dissectums, before blazing fiery red in autumn. Forms a low, spreading mound of cascading branches.
Slow-growing and superb in a large pot or as a specimen beside water or paving. Sheltered spot, sun or part shade, moist but well-drained soil.
